DNV KEMA consultant elected to Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance board
Charles Budd to serve as vice chair
Charles Budd, senior principal consultant, DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability, has been elected vice chair of the 2012–2013 board of directors for the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) in the United States. The MEEA is a collaborative network to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest region of the country.
Budd served on the MEEA board from 2009 to 2010 and became vice chair for the 2010–2011 term. He has extensive energy efficiency program implementation experience. He successfully managed the development and operation of more than $150 million of energy efficiency and load response programs at two major utilities. He has provided expert testimony on demand-side management cost recovery and determination of utility performance incentives, as well as demand-side planning, utility cost of service, rate design, and fuel clauses.
MEEA board members represent utilities, governmental bodies, energy efficiency-focused businesses, and academic and research organizations. In total, 11 energy efficiency experts were elected on this year’s slate, including energy efficiency leaders from electric utilities DTE Energy, ComEd, and Duke.
