'Innovations in Energy 2012' to stimulate open innovation
April 2 - To assist the energy sector in moving forward, DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability has published the 2012 edition of its annual publication 'Innovations in Energy'.
The more than 70 projects in this publication give a good picture of the innovative activities DNV KEMA is developing.
At DNV KEMA we believe innovations in the energy value chain are focused on enabling the efficiency and reliability of the existing systems; facilitating the transition towards a sustainable energy supply; and supporting the strategic decision making processes. In other words, innovation can pave the way to the “trias energetica”: the reduction of energy use, the increased use of renewable energy sources and the efficient use of fossil fuels.
Innovations along the energy value chain
Energy provision can be done in a different and smarter way with innovations along the full energy value chain: from policy and strategy, generation, trading, transport & distribution processes to end-users. If all stakeholders in the energy value chain join forces and develop and adopt new innovations, we can impact the world of energy and realize a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system. Now and in the future.
Open innovation is essential in developing new innovations. Only together, the various parties in the energy value chain can achieve real results. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or ideas that you would like to share with us.
