Two-day benchmarking workshop for Meiya Power Company

Following the contract with Meiya Power Company, the two-day benchmarking conference was held on June 5th and June 6th, 2012, in Shanghai Radisson Blu hotel.  Dr. Ad Braam, Dr. Viren Ajodhia, Dr. Jan Lefers and Mr. Bert Bekker from DNV KEMA gave detailed presentations on cost, financial and technical performance indicators to about 70 Meiya managers, technical professionals and financial specialists. Moreover, Mr. Million Yang and Mr. Nigel M. Y. Chea , CEO and COO of Meiya, also attended the event. The workshop served as the first step in assisting Meiya in introducing benchmarking to its majority controlled power plants, so as to improve their operational performance.

The workshop was a great success. Participants indicated that through the activity, they gained in-depth insights on what benchmark is, how to conduct benchmarking and what should be taken into account when they perform benchmarking for their majority controlled power plants.
