Workshop on Wind Farm Operation & Maintenance
On March 2, China－Netherlands Workshop on Wind Farm Operation & Maintenance was held in the Dutch Embassy in Beijing. The event was sponsored by the Dutch Embassy in Beijing and organized by DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability (Beijing) and Beijing JKD Renewable Energy Technology Development Center.
Dutch ambassador in Beijing, Mr Rudolf Bekink gave a speech in the opening ceremony. He highly appreciated the cooperation between Netherlands and China in the renewable energy field, hoped this cooperation will be more comprehensive and fruitful, he expects that DNV KEMA will make more contributions to the cooperation between Netherlands and China. Over 30 senior managers, professionals, researchers and engineers attended the workshop, which come from top players of China wind farm developers, wind farm operators, wind turbine manufacturers, related Universities and Institutes; our new colleague from DNV Wind Section (Beijing) attended the workshop as well. Mr Hans Cleijne from DNV KEMA wind energy gave the introduction of the development of Europe offshore wind power and operation of offshore and onshore wind farms in Europe; Mr Hu Wei, Chief Strategist of Sinovel, top one wind turbine manufacturer in China, gave the presentation on case study for the project of Shanghai Donghai bridge offshore wind farm development which is the first offshore wind farm in China. During the following discussion, workshop attendees had discussed related issues, exchanged the views and probed the possibilities of cooperation with DNV KEMA wind energy.
Besides China-Netherlands Workshop on wind farm operation & maintenance, recently, DNV KEMA wind energy team participated in a series of market promotional activities in China. As an exhibitor, DNV KEMA wind energy attended the Wind Power China 2012 from February 23rd to 25th in Beijing; DNV KEMA wind energy team had participated in the Sino-Dutch Offshore Wind Power Workshop from February 26th to 28th in Nanjing & Nantong, Jiangsu Province. Through a series of market promotions, as one of distinguished front runners in energy section, DNV KEMA wind energy is known, appreciated by China customers and is becoming much closer to China wind energy industry. We are sure that cooperation between DNV KEMA wind energy and China wind energy industry will be prosperous in the near future!
