Gas Facilities

Gas Facilities

DNV KEMA has three state-of-the-art gas facilities: for performing combustion research, flow research and calibration, and gas analysis

Natural gas research

Natural gas is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons and other chemical components. In order to advice, inspect or test in-depth knowledge is required of natural gas properties. Therefore, DNV KEMA possesses three well-known, state-of-the-art gas laboratories forming a sound knowledge foundation under our consulting services.

Groningen Laboratory
The main laboratory of DNV KEMA is located in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands. This laboratory has state-of-the-art facilities for performing combustion research, flow research and calibrations at medium/high pressures, gas analysis, for investigating, developing and improving industrial processes and innovative energy utilization systems.

  • Flow Laboratory

    Flow Laboratory

DNV KEMA's flow laboratory specializes in flow research and calibration at medium/high pressures, and transport behavior of dust in pipelines and liquids in gas

  • Analytical Laboratory

    Analytical Laboratory

DNV KEMA's analytical laboratory offers analyses of natural gas, SNG, biogases, and offers assistance with analyses of exhaust gas

  • Combustion Laboratory

    Combustion Laboratory

DNV KEMA's combustion laboratory offers analyses of pollutants in gas-fired combustion equipment like engines, industrial burners and domestic appliances

  • MultiPhase Flow Laboratory

    MultiPhase Flow Laboratory

DNV KEMA's multiphase flow laboratory enables our clients in testing, validation and calibration of multiphase process equipment (separators and meters).

  • Calibration of Electrical Measuring Instruments

    Calibration of Electrical Measuring Instruments

An inaccurate instrument can cause damage and high costs to systems and processes. How accurate are your instruments?
