Program Development
DNV KEMA's program development services revolve around policy and program analysis to identify impact on key variables and to identify the most cost-effective options
Policies, regulations, and market-based programs are vital in shaping energy efficiency / demand side management (DSM) and demand response programs and the renewable and distributed generation industry.
Properly planned and managed DSM initiatives – such as energy efficiency and load management programs, can reduce energy usage, enhance customer service, reduce operational costs, and create new revenue streams.
Program design for all markets
DNV KEMA offers detailed analysis of policy and programs to identify impact on budgets, technology market share, and other important variables. Our extensive analytical models evaluate client policies and programs to identify the most cost-effective options.
We help clients develop all types of DSM programs for all types of customers. From setting up a pilot program to developing a multi-year comprehensive program covering a wide range of measures – we help clients address energy efficiency and demand response programs.
For hard-to-reach markets, we help design programs that effectively reach markets that standard incentive programs often miss. We utilize “direct install” concepts to achieve high penetration of DSM measures into the small business, low income, and rental housing segments. And we design and implement comprehensive green building programs in order to get access to the new building owner and developers much earlier in the design process.
We also address integrated DSM programs—designing programs that effectively achieve both energy efficiency and demand response (DR) benefits. Our Enhanced Automation concept was developed to help commercial and industrial facilities to assess and install control technologies that can produce everyday operational benefits such as energy savings and can provide increased capability for DR.
