Type Test Certificate
A Type Test Certificate contains a record of a series of type tests carried out strictly in accordance with a recognized standard. The equipment tested fulfilled all requirements of this standard and the relevant ratings assigned by the manufacturer. A DNV KEMA Type Test Certificate can only be issued if all relevant tests have been successfully performed at the DNV KEMA laboratories.

A DNV KEMA Type test Certificate is a green leather bound document with a golden embossed cover text. The first page contains a red ribbon and a golden seal.

Product Certificate 
KEMA is accredited according to EN 45011 (ISO/IEC Guide 65) for issuing Product Certificates. A Product Certificate is based on a DNV KEMA Type Test Certificate. The process for granting a Product Certificate by DNV KEMA is independent of the process to obtain a Type Test Certificate at one of the DNV KEMA laboratories. A Committee of Experts oversees the product certification process and the impartiality of DNV KEMA.

Reports of Performance
Report of Performance contains a record of one or more tests carried out according to the customer’s instructions. De tests performed may be based on a recognised standards or based on special conditions. The tests results are described and do not always have to be succesfull.

A DNV KEMA Report of Performance is a green leather bound document with a silver embossed cover text. The first page contains a green ribbon and a silver seal.

Inspection Report
An inspection report contains the records of tests witnessed by DNV KEMA inspectors in non-DNV KEMA laboratories. If the witnessed test complies with the full type test program then an Inspection Report regarding Type Test is issued. Other types of inspection reports are inspection reports regarding Factory Acceptance and Special Inspection reports regarding Quality deviations or Process Audits. On request DNV KEMA provides customers with a one page summary of the report.
