Safety instructions

DNV KEMA has drawn up Health, Safety and Environmetal (HSE) instructions for customers, suppliers and other visitors. Especially for customers the “Regulations Health, Safety and Environment for customers of DNV KEMA Testing, Inspections & Certification” is applicable. The regulations are sent to the customer already with the definite booking of tests at the laboratories.

On arrival at DNV KEMA Testing, Inspections & Certification, visitors are issued the so-called “gate instructions”. In addition, they are shown an HSE instruction film, and if applicable, instruction films for working with SF6 and testing transformers on a boat. DNV KEMA asks the customers to declare their agreement to these instructions.

Included in these instructions are that the wearing of safety helmets is generally mandatory, with the exception of the control rooms and the office areas. Safety shoes must be worn during work in the test buildings and the assembly bays. Furthermore, specific expertise is required for hoisting activities and the use of elevated platforms.
